Initially approved in 2005 for a cost of 5.35 crore, the project was extended through 2013-14. Following recommendations from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, the project is further extended for three more years, covering financial years 2014-15 to 2016-17, with no change in the approved cost.
