of <h1>Central Government Extends Vatsalya Trust Projects' Tax Benefits Under Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the Vatsalya Trust's projects under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. These projects, including an orphanage, Balika Ashrama, old age home, and child-parent guidance centers, are located in Mumbai and were initially approved at a cost of 1.92 crore. Initially sanctioned for three years ending in the 2007-08 financial year, the projects received extensions through 2013-14. Following a recommendation from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, the projects are now approved for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2014-15 to 2016-17.
