of <h1>Employers to Pay 0.01% Admin Fee on Wages for Insurance Fund; Minimum Charges Set for Non-Functional Establishments.</h1> The Ministry of Labour and Employment issued a notification determining that employers must pay an administrative charge of 0.01% of the aggregate basic wages, dearness allowance, and retaining allowances to the Deposit-linked Insurance Fund. This charge is for administering the Employees' Deposit-linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, excluding costs for benefits under the scheme. There is a minimum charge of twenty-five rupees per month for non-functional establishments with no contributory members and two hundred rupees per month for other establishments. The notification does not affect charges applicable before December 31, 2014.
