of <h1>India Amends Cardamom Import Policy: Free Import Allowed with Minimum Price of 500/kg Under ITC (HS) Code 0908 31</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for cardamoms under ITC (HS) code 0908 31, effective immediately. The policy change stipulates that cardamoms, whether large, small, alleppey green, coorg green, bleached, half bleached, bleachable, mixed, or other, are now free to import, provided they meet a minimum import price (MIP) of 500 per kilogram. Additionally, all imports must comply with the provisions of the FSSAI Act, 2006. This amendment is issued under the authority of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014.
