<h1>India Lowers Minimum Export Price for Edible Oils in Branded Packs to Boost Trade Under Foreign Trade Policy.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the Foreign Trade Policy to reduce the Minimum Export Price (MEP) for exporting edible oils in branded consumer packs of up to 5 kilograms. The MEP has been lowered from USD 1100 per metric ton to USD 900 per metric ton. This change is enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and is effective immediately as per the notification issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
