of <h1>Notification under section 157 updates Project Imports rules to cover metro and monorail urban transport projects</h1> The notification, issued under section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962, amends the Project Imports Regulations, 1986 with effect from 11 July 2014. It replaces serial number 3F in the Table to specify that 'Metro Rail or Monorail projects for urban public transport' are eligible as project imports and designates the 'concerned State Government' as the sponsoring authority. The amendment integrates these urban transport projects into the existing project import framework, continuing the series of modifications to the principal 1986 notification.
