of <h1>India Updates Customs Notification on Goods for Solar Energy Production and Power Generation</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 1/2011-Customs, originally issued on January 6, 2011, concerning goods needed for solar energy production or power generation using solar energy. The amendments include adding 'or solar energy production' after 'components, required for the initial setting up of a solar power generation' in the opening paragraph and substituting 'solar power generation or solar energy production' for 'the generation of power using solar energy' in condition (1). These changes are made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest.
