<h1>India Amends Customs Notification to Exempt Bio-CNG Project Goods, Supporting Green Energy Initiatives.</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 81/2005-Customs to include exemptions for goods required for the initial setup of projects generating compressed bio-gas (Bio-CNG), in addition to power generation using non-conventional materials. Changes include inserting 'or generation of compressed bio-gas (Bio-CNG)' in the notification's opening paragraph and conditions, and specifying that proof requirements apply to power generation projects. This amendment, issued by the Ministry of Finance, is intended to support public interest projects under the Customs Act, 1962.
