of <h1>India Amends Onion Export Policy: Minimum Price Set at $500/Metric Ton Under ITC(HS) Chapter 7</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the export policy for onions under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014. Effective immediately, all varieties of onions listed under Serial Numbers 51 and 52 of Chapter 7 in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export & Import Items are subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 500 per Metric Ton FOB. This change supersedes previous notifications, ensuring that the export of onions adheres to the specified pricing guidelines as determined by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
