of <h1>Central Government Approves IT and Electronics SEZ in Bangalore under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology, electronic hardware, and business process outsourcing at Kattigenahalli and Venkatala, Hobli Yelahanka, Bangalore, Karnataka. This approval follows the proposal by a corporation under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ covers an area of 12.14 hectares and is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective March 14, 2012. An Approval Committee has been constituted, including various government officials and a representative of the developer, to oversee the SEZ's operations.
