of <h1>India Amends Service Tax Notification; Deletes Serial No. (xix) in Public Interest Under Section 93(1) Finance Act 1994</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 05/2014-Service Tax on February 24, 2014, to amend Notification No. 06/2013-Service Tax dated April 18, 2013. Exercising powers under section 93(1) of the Finance Act, 1994, the amendment involves the deletion of serial number (xix) and its related entries from paragraph 3, condition (a), second proviso of the original notification. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest. The principal notification was previously amended by Notification No. 17/2013-Service Tax on December 26, 2013.
