of <h1>India Extends Tax Deduction Eligibility for ALERT-INDIA's Leprosy and TB Project Under Section 35AC for Three Years</h1> Notification No. 116/2012, dated March 12, 2013, issued by the Government of India, extends the eligibility of a project managed by ALERT-INDIA for tax deductions under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act. This project focuses on the detection, treatment, and cure of leprosy and tuberculosis patients in Greater Bombay and New Bombay, along with an integrated healthcare project in Airoli, Bombay. The notification extends the project's eligibility for three more years starting from the financial year 2012-13 and increases the allowable project cost from Rs. 2.70 crore to Rs. 17.34 crore, including a corpus fund.
