<h1>India Lifts Ban on PUSA-1121 Non-Basmati Rice Exports with Conditions on Grain Size and Price</h1> The notification permits the export of the PUSA-1121 variety of non-basmati rice with immediate effect, subject to specific conditions. These include a minimum grain length of 7 mm and a length-to-breadth ratio of over 4. Exports must be registered with APEDA, New Delhi, and meet a minimum FOB price of US$ 1200 or Rs. 48,000 per ton. Exports are restricted to specific ports: Kandla, Kakinada, Kolkata, JNPT Mumbai, Mundra, and Pipavav. The notification aligns with the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009 and amends previous restrictions on non-basmati rice exports.
