<h1>Digital arrest frauds using forged judicial orders undermine public trust and require coordinated law enforcement action.</h1> The Supreme Court took suo motu cognisance of digital arrest frauds where perpetrators fabricate judicial orders, impersonate officials and extort victims, stressing that such forgery and misuse of the court's name and seal undermine public trust in the judiciary. It sought coordinated action and responses from central and state agencies, requested assistance from the Attorney General, and directed the Cyber Crime Superintendent in Ambala to file a status report on the senior citizen couple's case to enable pan India remedial measures.
