<h1>Legal challenges for education NGO scaling data-driven school interventions: student privacy, consent, procurement, contracts, IP, and evidence standards</h1> An education NGO hosted a conference presenting data-driven evaluations, randomized trials, predictive analytics, and qualitative studies on secondary-school interventions, and reported measurable learning, retention, gender-equity, and life-skills impacts while collaborating with government and government-aided schools. Legal issues arising include compliance with student data protection and consent regimes, contractual and procurement requirements for government partnerships and scaling, transparency and accountability to funders and regulators for claimed outcomes, potential intellectual-property or licensing questions for program materials and tools, and evidentiary standards needed to support policy adoption and public funding decisions.
