The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued Notification No. 12/2025–Central Tax, dated 20^th August, 2025, extending the due date for filing FORM GSTR-3B for the month of July 2025.

Considering the incessant rains and disruption of public life in parts of Mumbai Region, the due date for filing has been extended till 27^th August 2025 for registered taxpayers whose principal place of business is located in the following districts:

• Mumbai City
• Mumbai Suburban
• Thane
• Raigad
• Palghar

Taxpayers in the above districts are advised to avail of this relief and file their returns within the extended due date to avoid late fees and penalties.

Due date extension for GSTR-3B gives affected taxpayers in specified Mumbai region districts more time to file. CBIC has extended the due date for filing FORM GSTR-3B for July 2025 to 27th August 2025 for registered taxpayers whose principal place of business is located in Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts, in response to weather-related disruption in the Mumbai region; taxpayers in those districts should file within the extended date to avoid late fees and penalties.
