Political criticism of public office-holders raises debate over media accountability, personal remarks, and acceptable public discourse.
Political criticism followed a social-media post describing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar as "gungi gudiya" in connection with a press interaction on law-and-order issues in Beed district. Congress representatives stated that the post was not a personal insult, had been deleted after adverse reactions, and was followed by an expression of regret. Neutral monetary policy stance continues as inflation clarity is awaited, alongside cooperative banking and lending-rate transparency measures.
Monetary policy maintained the benchmark policy repo rate and a neutral stance pending clearer evidence that energy-cost pressures will generate broad-based inflation. Inflation is expected to rise temporarily due principally to food and fuel prices before moderating, while core inflation remains benign. The approach remains data-dependent, supported by two-way liquidity operations. Proposed measures include resuming urban cooperative bank licensing, revising rural cooperative bank credit-monitoring directions, and harmonising interest-rate regulation on advances across regulated entities to improve transparency and consumer protection.

Monetary policy maintained the repo rate at 5.25 per cent following a unanimous policy committee decision. The growth forecast for FY27 was marginally increased, while the inflation projection was lowered. Inflation conditions remain uncertain because of monsoon, El Nino and geopolitical developments. The Proven Code™ emerged as a focal point at the International Health and Wellness Expo 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from 11th to 13th July. The Proven Code is one of India’s first nutraceutical brands to offer supplements made only from patented and clinically validated ingredients. The brand says there is a huge efficacy and safety issue, with most of the supplements being sold in the country. Many supplements contain unverified, unknown, and even toxic compounds, which are a huge risk to our liver, kidneys, and body. They are among the first in the country to include only world-class patented and clinically proven ingredients in all their supplements. Launching its Proof First Movement at the expo, The Proven Code sparked a nationwide conversation about the need for clinical evidence behind supplements. The company is now working to ensure all its products are third-party tested, with results to be published online.

Here are some highlights from our interview with Mr. Gaurav Singh (Founder & Director) and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh (Founder & Chief Medical Officer): What inspired you to launch The Proven Code, and how is your approach different? Gaurav Singh: We started The Proven Code because we saw a serious problem—most supplements in India are sold on marketing promises, not real proof. In fact, even FSSAI confirms that more than 44,000 samples were found to be non-compliant in a single year 2022-23. An editorial in The Lancet (2024) remarked that most supplement claims have scant evidence beyond placebo. Our goal is simple: every product we offer must have some published clinical data and proven safety behind them. We don’t want anyone taking supplements blindly anymore.

You mentioned a safety issue with many supplements on the market. Can you elaborate? Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh (Founder & Chief Medical Officer, The Proven Code): Certainly. As a doctor with over 30 years in medical practice, and after personally treating more than 15,000 patients, I've witnessed numerous cases where unverified supplements led to severe health complications, particularly affecting the liver and kidneys. There are numerous studies that confirm the risk that the presence of adulterants and contaminants possess to our health. This is precisely why we insist on using only patented, clinically validated ingredients. Our customers deserve complete transparency and assurance that what they're consuming is safe and scientifically proven.

Can you tell us more about the range of products The Proven Code offers? Dr. Rajesh Kr Singh: Our range is built on clinically validated, globally recognized actives—each product is crafted for real, evidence-backed results.

Our products represent our commitment to proof, purity, and clinical rigor. Some highlights include: • Berberine 97 (HIMABERB®): India’s highest purity, clinical-grade Himalayan berberine, validated for metabolic health.

      • Ashwagandha KSM-66®: The world’s most clinically studied Ashwagandha, for stress, sleep, and vitality.

      • Joint Support 360: Plant-based joint and bone formula, powered by GlucosaGreen®, K2VITAL®, and Vitashine™.

      • LipoCoQ10 (LipozaCo-Q10®): Advanced liposomal CoQ10 for enhanced absorption and cellular energy.

      • Liposomal Mg (Lipoza Mg®): High-absorption magnesium for better sleep and relaxation.

      • Gut Function Test (MicrobioTx™): India’s first finger-prick gut microbiome analysis.

      • Daily Probiotics 360 (LactoSpore®): All-in-one gut health with clinically validated probiotics.

Every product is built on patented and clinically validated ingredients, and transparent sourcing.

How was the response at the International Health and Wellness Expo? Gaurav Singh: The response was overwhelming. More than 2,000 people—including doctors, health professionals, and regular consumers—joined our Proof-First Pledge at the expo. It’s clear that the Indian public wants more transparency and scientific backing for what they consume.

Q: What steps are you taking to ensure the purity and quality of your products? Dr. Rajesh Kr Singh: We are working closely with independent labs to get every batch of our products third-party tested for purity and safety. We believe every consumer should have access to these results, and we will publish them on our website as soon as they’re available.

Q: Where can people buy The Proven Code products, and what are your plans for the future? Gaurav Singh: Right now, our products are available through a network of over 50 doctors and clinics nationwide. We’re planning a full digital launch in August 2025, so that anyone in India can access our evidence-based supplements online. We’re continuing to expand our product range, work with top research partners, and make clinical testing and third-party validation the standard for every product. We invite everyone—doctors, consumers, and industry peers—to join us in demanding real evidence and setting a new benchmark for wellness in India.
