Chhattisgarh to Launch Digital Service Centers in 1,460 Village Panchayats for Local Cash Transactions and Administrative Services
Chhattisgarh government will launch 'Atal Panchayat Digital Suvidha Kendra' in 1,460 village panchayats on April 24, National Panchayati Raj Day. These centers will provide cash transactions, digital services, and administrative facilities locally. Villagers can withdraw/deposit money, pay utility bills, receive pension benefits, and obtain birth/death certificates without traveling to district headquarters. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Common Service Centres and village heads in the presence of the state's Chief Minister. This initiative fulfills a promise made to provide cash payment facilities in gram panchayats, alongside other implemented schemes including paddy procurement at Rs 3,100 per quintal and financial assistance programs.
