<h1>Uttarakhand GST Registration Now Requires Biometric Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification.</h1> The GST registration process in Uttarakhand has been updated to include biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification. Under the amended Rule 8 of the CGST Rules, 2017, applicants can be identified through data analysis and risk parameters. The new functionality, developed by GSTN, was launched on July 28, 2024. Applicants will receive an email with either a link for OTP-based Aadhaar authentication or a link to book an appointment at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric authentication and document verification. Required documents include the Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and original documents uploaded during the application.
