Dr. Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, Executive Director, Artha Global was appointed as Member in the 16^th Finance Commission vide notification dated 31.01.2024. Dr. Rajadhyaksha has expressed his inability to take up this responsibility due to unforeseen personal circumstances.

Action will be taken to appoint a Member of the 16^th Commission in lieu of Dr. Rajadhyaksha.

Appointment of Member: replacement to be made after a nominated member declines to serve on the Finance Commission. A notified Member of the 16th Finance Commission declined the appointment due to personal reasons, and the government will take administrative action to appoint a replacement Member to fill the resultant vacancy.
