<h1>India's Union Government Reports Rs. 20.39 Lakh Crore Receipts, 83.9% of 2022-23 Estimates; Transfers to States Rise.</h1> The Union Government of India reported total receipts of Rs. 20,39,728 crore up to February 2023, representing 83.9% of the revised estimates for the financial year 2022-23. This includes Rs. 17,32,193 crore from tax revenue, Rs. 2,48,635 crore from non-tax revenue, and Rs. 58,900 crore from non-debt capital receipts. The government transferred Rs. 8,08,088 crore to state governments, which is Rs. 20,266 crore more than the previous year. Total expenditure reached Rs. 34,93,590 crore, with Rs. 29,03,363 crore on revenue account and Rs. 5,90,227 crore on capital account. Interest payments accounted for Rs. 7,98,957 crore, while major subsidies totaled Rs. 4,59,547 crore.
