<h1>Union Budget 2023-24: Boost for MSMEs with Rs. 9,000 crore infusion, tax reliefs, and enhanced credit flow measures.</h1> The Union Budget 2023-24, presented by the Finance Minister, includes a revamped credit guarantee scheme for MSMEs with a Rs. 9,000 crore infusion, enabling Rs. 2 lakh crore in collateral-free credit and reducing credit costs by 1%. Relief measures under Vivad Se Vishwas I and II are introduced for MSMEs, including a return of 95% of forfeited bid amounts. Presumptive taxation benefits are proposed for micro enterprises and professionals, with enhanced turnover limits. Start-ups receive extended tax benefits and loss carry-forward provisions. A National Financial Information Registry is set up to enhance credit flow and financial stability. Initiatives to boost business in GIFT IFSC and optimize financial sector regulations are also proposed.
