These companies are defined under the Companies Act, 2013, as entities incorporated outside India with business operations in the country. The registration numbers varied yearly, with 118 in 2018-19, 124 in 2019-20, and 78 in 2020-21. Maharashtra and Delhi saw the highest registrations. Revenue from these registrations is not tracked sector-wise, but fees collected from registration forms amounted to over 34 crore INR over the three years.
