<h1>CBIC and State Authorities Expedite GST Refunds, Processing Rs. 54,378 Crore by July 31, 2018, with 93% Disposal Rate.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and state authorities processed Rs. 54,378 crore in GST refunds by July 31, 2018, during the Third Refund Fortnight. This initiative aimed to expedite pending GST refunds through measures like Special Refund Cells and Exporter Awareness Campaigns. CBIC introduced GST Refund Help Desks at 11 locations to assist exporters directly, eliminating the need to visit customs offices. By the end of July, Rs. 29,829 crore in IGST refunds were processed, achieving a 93% disposal rate. Additionally, Rs. 24,549 crore in RFD-01A refunds were processed, with exporters urged to follow proper procedures for swift disbursal.
