of <h1>E-Way Bill System: Mandatory for Goods Over Rs. 50,000 Under GST; Key for Interstate and Intrastate Transport.</h1> The e-Way Bill System, effective from April 1, 2018, is a mandatory document for transporting goods valued over Rs. 50,000 under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime. It is generated via the portal ewaybillgst.gov.in. Registered GST users must also register on this portal to generate e-way bills. Transporters not registered under GST must enroll to receive a unique Transporter ID. The system requires accurate entry of details, as errors cannot be corrected post-generation, only canceled. The e-way bill's validity is based on the distance to be covered, and it is mandatory for both interstate and, eventually, intrastate movements.
