The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), in its endeavour to create awareness about the insolvency and bankruptcy regime amongst the students of higher education, wishes to promote essay competitions through Institutes of Learning.

Students of graduation and post-graduation courses of any discipline at Universities, Deemed Universities and Professional Institutes (Institute of Charted Accountants of India, Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India) in India can participate in this competition.

The IBBI shall, through the Institute of Learning, issue a certificate of participation to all participants in the essay competition, a cash prize of ₹ 10,000 to the student who has written the best essay, and a cash prize of ₹ 5,000 to the student who has written the second best essay.

Insolvency awareness: essay competition to promote bankruptcy regime understanding among higher education students through learning institutes. Establishes an outreach mechanism to advance insolvency and bankruptcy awareness among higher education students by promoting essay competitions through Institutes of Learning. Eligible participants are graduate and postgraduate students across disciplines at universities, deemed universities and professional institutes. Institutes organising contests must follow published guidelines and will issue certificates of participation to all entrants and award prizes to top submissions, with the Institute of Learning responsible for competition facilitation and compliance with procedural directions.
