<h1>Cabinet Approves Rs. 27,413 Crore GST Support for Industrial Units in J&K, Uttarakhand, Himachal, and North East.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by the Prime Minister, approved a Budgetary Support Scheme under the GST regime for eligible industrial units in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and the North Eastern States, including Sikkim. The scheme allocates Rs. 27,413 crore from July 1, 2017, to March 31, 2027, for units that previously benefited from Central Excise exemptions. This support aims to refund the central share of CGST and IGST to eligible units affected by the repeal of Central Excise duty laws. Approximately 4,284 units are expected to benefit, with detailed guidelines to be issued within six weeks.
