<h1>India Proposes Amendments to Courier Imports & Exports Regulations; Introduces GSTIN and Revises Forms for Better Compliance.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs of the Government of India has proposed amendments to the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. These amendments, titled the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 2017, include the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) and revisions to several forms used in courier import and export processes. The changes will take effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on these proposed regulations.
