This scheme allows individuals to declare previously undisclosed income and assets, with declarations accepted until September 30, 2016. Information submitted to the Commissioner of Income-tax, Centralised Processing Centre, Bengaluru, will not be shared with jurisdictional tax officials, and payments will not be visible to them. Declarations filed with jurisdictional Principal Commissioners or Commissioners are also protected from disclosure to any department authority, ensuring confidentiality in the process.
