<h1>Customs Act Amends Tariff Values for Oils, Metals, and More Effective September 30, 2015.</h1> The Central Board of Excise Customs has amended the tariff values for various commodities under the Customs Act, 1962. The updated tariff values, effective from September 30, 2015, include changes for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. For instance, the tariff value for crude palm oil is set at $531 per metric tonne, while gold and silver are valued at $368 per 10 grams and $474 per kilogram, respectively. These adjustments are part of the government's ongoing efforts to regulate import duties.
