Carpet Area denotes the net usable floor area of an apartment intended for the allottee's use, excluding the area covered by external walls, areas under service shafts, and exclusive balcony, verandah or open terrace areas appurtenant to the apartment, but including areas covered by internal partition walls. Exclusive balcony or verandah area and exclusive open terrace area mean those parts of balcony, verandah or terrace appurtenant to and meant for the exclusive use of the allottee.
