Names must match.</h1> To link an Aadhaar number with a PAN using the SMS facility, a taxpayer must send a message to either 567678 or 56161. The message format is UIDPAN followed by a space, the 12-digit Aadhaar number, another space, and the 10-digit PAN. For example, the SMS should look like 'UIDPAN 111122223333 AAAPA9999Q.' The Aadhaar will be linked to the PAN if the taxpayer's name and date of birth match on both documents.
