Informant status determines reward eligibility; information submitted outside Annexure-A under the scheme is not eligible. A person is eligible for reward only if they qualify as an informant under the scheme and submit information through the specified Annexure-A mechanism; information furnished by any other channels - including letter, email, CD, messaging apps, phone, social networking posts, newspaper publications or any other media - does not qualify for reward.
