Bar on legal proceedings shields officers and persons acting under the Act from suits for acts done in good faith.

Section 44 bars legal proceedings by shielding Central Government officers, Reserve Bank personnel and any person exercising powers or functions under the Act from suits or other legal proceedings for acts done in good faith, and extends that immunity to actions taken under the Act or under any rule, regulation, notification, direction or order thereunder.
