Paperless export scrips: electronic MEIS/SEIS for EDI ports restrict import use to EDI ports and suspend TRA issuance.

The DGFT has moved to electronically issued MEIS and SEIS duty credit scrips where the port of registration is an EDI port, eliminating physical copies and discontinuing TRA issuance for those paperless scrips; such paperless scrips may be used only for imports at EDI ports. Physical scrips on security paper will continue for non-EDI ports, with TRA facility available to permit use at other EDI or non-EDI ports.
