Policy applicability governs setting up inland container depots, container freight stations and air freight stations: new proposals submitted to the IMC after issue of these guidelines and pending proposals before the IMC must follow the prescribed policy. Existing facilities and proposals with a Letter of Intent but not yet commenced are subject to these guidelines insofar as relevant, notably post approval obligations, term, renewal and denotification; IMC approved proposals remain under the old policy.
