ST-3 Returns Status

We are observing that the ST-3 returns, filed online with service tax website of the department over more than 10 days still show that the same are “uploaded”. Usually, these returns are processed and shown as filed within 1 business day or rejected within 1 business day.

The due date for filing returns is 15^th April, but there is no way to know whether the returns are being accepted or rejected. It appears that the department website is not fully operational to accept the service tax returns.

 Any information you have and can share in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

Since it is off line submission of ST Return, therefore, it is showing as UPLOADED.

True, but should it not show "filed" or "rejected" after one business day?

We ae also facing this issue, though we have intimated to the jurisdiction authorities in writing.  You may also intimate to them in this regard to cope with futuristic unwarranted situations.

We are also facing the same situation. Probably the ST-3 has been modified on 25/03/2013 and the returns filed upto 25/03/2013 might be facing this problem.

We are facing same problem and our ST-3 Return also shows status "Uploaded". In the matter we have sent mail to ACES helpline and we  they have clarified as under :-

" The status of the Service Tax returns for the return period July-Sept, 2012, uploaded on or after 25.03.2013 can be viewed now under 'View XML Status' option. To avoid congestion and inconvenience to the assessees during the current peak filing period,  the returns are being processed in batches. Hence, it will take some time for the system to update the status of returns.
