ST-3 Returns Status

Parimal Kulkarni

We are observing that the ST-3 returns, filed online with service tax website of the department over more than 10 days still show that the same are “uploaded”. Usually, these returns are processed and shown as filed within 1 business day or rejected within 1 business day.

The due date for filing returns is 15th April, but there is no way to know whether the returns are being accepted or rejected. It appears that the department website is not fully operational to accept the service tax returns.

Any information you have and can share in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

Online ST-3 Returns Face Processing Delays Beyond 10 Days; Users Concerned as Filing Due Date Nears A discussion on a forum revolves around delays in the processing of ST-3 returns filed online for service tax. Users report that returns remain in 'uploaded' status for over ten days, whereas they are typically processed within one business day. The due date for filing is approaching, and there is uncertainty about whether returns are accepted or rejected. One user mentions that the issue might be due to modifications made to the ST-3 form on March 25, 2013. Another user shares a response from the ACES helpline, indicating that returns are processed in batches to manage congestion during peak periods. (AI Summary)
