Approval of invoice colour under Central excise and Vat Tax Act.

Dear Sir,

 

We are manufacturer in food items.We are going to start computerized invoices w.e.from 1.4.2013.  We will informed to Central Excise and Vat tax deptt accordingly.  My query is that whether the colour of invoices in white are to be acceptable in both deptt or to be maintained some specific colours under their act, pls advise with some circulars/notifications etc. Pls aslo advice whether some other deptt, in  this regard have to be informed or not.

Invoice printout on A4 Size (white paper) is allowed when the invoices are being generated printed through Computers and the only condition is that the invoice numbers should be generated by default.
