Cenvat Credit Denied for Bills in Employee's Name Even if Company Pays; Must Be in Company's Name & Address A user inquired whether a company can claim Cenvat credit for a bill issued in the name of an employee or director but with the company's address, where the company bears the expense. The response clarified that it is not permissible to claim credit on such bills. To avail Cenvat credit, all bills must be issued in the company's name and address, regardless of who incurs the expense. (AI Summary)
