We shall be importing “Bituminous Coal / Steam Coal” for coal gasification unit of our Sponge iron. In the matter kindly give your valuable guidance.

(1)    Chapter sub-heading number for Bituminous Coal and Steam Coal.

(2)    Custom duty after Budget 2013 is 2%

(3)    CVD is 2%

(4)    Educational  Cess  2% & Higher education Cess 1%

(5)    SAD not applicable.

Please also let us know whether we are eligible to take Input credit (CENVAT) on CVD  & Cess.
