Self-sealing exports: filing a free shipping bill removes Central Excise sealing requirement and self-sealing suffices.
Query whether redeemed EPCG-imported second-hand capital goods can be exported by self-sealing and whether a bond may be utilized. The reply states that if a free shipping bill is filed, Central Excise Department sealing is not required and self-sealing suffices; no further detail on bond utilization is provided. (AI Summary)

Dear Sir

We are exporting second hand capital goods which is imported under EPCG Scheme. Right now the licence is redeemed.

We would like to export this capital goods by self sealing method.

Can we utilise bond under this procedure along with self sealing mode.

Please clarify the matter.

1.

If you are filing free shipping bill then no need to get it sealed from the Central Excise Department.  Self Sealing mode will suffice.
