efiling of Return

jitendra soni

I have filed the return for the assessment year 12-13 through electronic filing(without digital signature). In advertantly i mentioned wrong pin code, 40055 instead of 700055. Other address such as city, state etc were correct. The return are also processed and wrong PIN is shown in intimation u/s 143(3) of the Income Tax Act.

please advise. Should I file revise return.

User's Income Tax Return Processed Despite Incorrect PIN; No Revised Filing Needed Per Section 143(3) of Income Tax Act. A user filed an income tax return for the assessment year 2012-2013 electronically, mistakenly entering an incorrect PIN code. Despite this error, other address details were accurate, and the return was processed, showing the wrong PIN in the intimation under section 143(3) of the Income Tax Act. A respondent advised that since the other address details are correct, there is no need to file a revised return. Notices or intimations will still reach the correct address, and the PAN details will reflect the correct PIN code. (AI Summary)

If other address particulars are correct you will definitely receive intimations or notices at that address so there is no need to file revised return, In fact your PAN particulars would also show the correct PIN no
