Plz make it clear that, if a concern falls under negative list of service, then in which code it has to pay the service tax for example if a concern has to pay service tax on "Works Contract Service" then in which code it has to pay service tax a)00440410(Works Contract Service) or 00441480(other taxable services).

Please refer to Notification no 48/2012 dated 30-11-2012 wherein the accounting codes have been specified again and as per serial no 97 of the said notification "Works Contract Service" is specified.Hence payments need to be made into the respective accounting codes as per Notification no 48/2012 dated 30-11-2012

The new accounting code, ie 00441480, is yet to be updated in the website and hence tehre is option only to remit under the old  code - 00441089

Please read circular no. 165/2012-ST with Notification 48/2012-ST in this regard.  If there is any requirement to get the RC amended in this regard then please do the needful for adherence with compliance.
