E-filing of form 24Q

Paul Antony

Sir, I am the DDO of a Govt of India Office. Our PAO had made some mistakes in the data uploaded through 24G  for the FY 2011-12. As a result we could not file 24Q which was to be up-loaded by DDO. The PAO is not paying any attention to our request for filing revised 24G. I T dept has issued notice to DDO for failing to e-file 24Q.I am un able to do it till PAO files the corrected/revised 24G. What is the solution available for DDO?

DDO faces e-filing issues with form 24Q due to PAO errors in form 24G for 2011-12; urgent action needed. A government office's Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) is unable to e-file form 24Q due to errors in the data uploaded by the Pay and Accounts Office (PAO) through form 24G for the fiscal year 2011-12. Despite requests, the PAO has not revised the data, leading to a notice from the Income Tax Department. The suggested solution is to file form 24Q with the correct data immediately to avoid penalties, and revise it later if necessary. (AI Summary)
