PROCEDURE REMOVAL OF GOODS FROM OWN WAREHOUSE BY MERCHANT EXPORTER

RAM SHARMA

If we take the goods to our premises then who will sign the ARE-1? and who will issue invoice for ARE-1?

Merchant Exporter Queries CT-1 Compliance for Warehouse Transfers; Seeks Clarification on ARE-1 Invoice Issuance for Exports. A merchant exporter inquired about the procedure for removing goods from their warehouse for export purposes, specifically questioning whether goods must be exported directly from the manufacturer's premises under CT-1. Due to customs not permitting container stuffing at the manufacturer's site, the exporter seeks to transfer goods to their premises for this process. They asked if this would violate CT-1 regulations and who would sign and issue the ARE-1 invoice. A respondent advised consulting with the jurisdictional Assistant Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise for guidance and necessary permissions, emphasizing the importance of exports.
