Service tax challan and registration

RAJ KUMAR RAJKUMAR

Sir,

In our company we used to pay service tax on GTA Elibilgible and Non Eligilbie. we are paying this thru two challans. our service tax Registration includes the above service.

Because of the new changes in the service tax our company has to pay 75% on Man Power and 50% on Work contract.

Do we need to register the above services in our  service tax registration. for Man power and Works contract. and for the above payment do we need to make separate challan for payment.

Regards,

sai surendra

Service Tax Registration Simplified: No Separate Registration Needed for Manpower and Work Contracts Post-July 2012 Changes. A company inquires about service tax registration requirements due to changes in tax obligations, specifically regarding manpower and work contracts. They ask if separate registration or challans are needed for these services. Two respondents clarify that there is no need for separate service registration due to the introduction of a negative list. Additionally, from July 1, 2012, a single accounting code applies to all taxable services, eliminating the need for multiple codes for different services. (AI Summary)
