Wrong Quote of A.Y Year In TDS Challan

krishna besta

Dear Sir(S),

Please give a suggetion for my mistake. TDS Challan Payment Wrongly quoted in A.Y 2012-13 instead of A.Y 2013-14. I went to bank and requested to the same above change in online. but banker is told to us we do n't have a access for Changing the A.Y year.

Is there any alternative or pertains to Notification/Circular for rectification of the same above mistake.

Please help me Sir any one.

Wrong Assessment Year Quoted in TDS Challan; Correction Possible via Bank or Assessing Officer An individual mistakenly quoted the wrong assessment year (A.Y 2012-13 instead of A.Y 2013-14) in a TDS challan payment. After attempting to rectify the error at the bank, they were informed that the bank could not change the assessment year. A response suggested that banks can correct such errors within a week of the deposit, though many bankers may be unaware of this due to a circular from NSDL. Alternatively, the Assessing Officer (A.O) with jurisdiction over the TAN number is authorized to correct the assessment year in the challan. (AI Summary)
