tax on capital gain

Subhash Majumdar

respected readers,

please cleare me that if i don't want to take indexing benifits on an assets & claculate capital gain on this assets without indexing price & longterm capital gain met on sell of said assets then can i pay tax @ 10% or deposits gain amount in to the bank through capital gaing saving scheme.

Capital gains tax option: resident holders of listed securities, units or zero-coupon bonds may elect non-indexed taxation. For a resident individual holding listed securities, units or zero-coupon bonds, it is possible to elect taxation without indexation and pay tax under the concessional fixed-rate regime; the response does not resolve whether gains may instead be deposited into a capital gains saving scheme.
