Chemical Company Expansion: Notify Department for Land Purchase Using Existing Registration; Separate Registration Needed if Non-Adjacent Premises. A chemical and textile company located in Haridwar is planning to expand its operations and inquired about maintaining its current excise registration under the Haridwar exemption notifications 49 and 50. The advice given was to notify the Department about the land purchase for expansion using the existing registration number. If the new premises are not adjacent to the current one, separate registration is required. However, if the expansion occurs within the same premises, no additional registration is necessary. If the new premises are adjacent, they should be incorporated into the current registration. (AI Summary)
