Dear All,
We have applyed for Central Excise Registration but on physical verification, Supretendent of Excise refused to get R.C. of Excise on the graund that 'premises in not completed'.
Is it in Law that R.C. not issued unless premises not completed. Please assist me in this regard.
Thanks & Regards,

Excise Department Can Refuse Registration Certificate if Premises Are Incomplete Under Section 6 of Central Excise Act, 1944. An individual inquired whether the Excise Department can refuse to issue a Registration Certificate (R.C.) due to incomplete premises. Two respondents confirmed that under Section 6 of the Central Excise Act, 1944, registration is contingent on the premises being completed and equipped for manufacturing. The Excise Department requires the premises to be fully prepared and machinery installed before issuing an R.C. The individual was advised to apply once the premises are ready for manufacturing activities. (AI Summary)
